The Gyotaku Shad was designed for subtle, controlled movement where the bait does the work. Our super soft plastic balances the minnow to create a natural rolling and gliding action that shines on hover-strolling and slow presentations. When shaking on a spinning setup, the bait rocks side to side. This gives off flash and life without darting or overreacting.

On a light jighead or mid-strolling setup, the Gyotaku Shad tracks level and stays in the strike zone longer, making it ideal for suspended fish and pressured situations. The body loads just enough water to keep it stable, while still responding to small rod movements with a smooth, wandering motion that looks like an isolated baitfish.
